About Belize

A Unique History

Belize has a unique history because it is the only country in Central America that was colonized by the British, making English the official language. The use of English makes travel easy for Americans, as does the country’s use of U.S. dollars, along with Belizean Dollars.

Belize can feel like both the Caribbean and Central America all at once – and you can experience it all in a single vacation as it’s easy to cross the entire country in a one-day road trip. Still, it’s better to do things the Belizean way: Relaxed.

We use the US dollar and Belize dollar!
